Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on August 19, 1965 is an American actress. She is most famous for her starring role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are in addition to her numerous. Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has stated that she is a part of Passover seders.
